ISAIAH 6:8 "THEN I HEARD A VOICE FROM THE LORD SAYING, 'WHOM SHALL I SEND AND WHO WILL GO FOR US?' AND I SAID, 'HERE I AM. SEND ME!"
What type of ministry do we do?
Our ministry is focused on using our God given talents to the glory of the Lord. A large part of our ministry is what we call marketplace ministry. Marketplace ministry allows those whose hearts have been called to serve the Lord, to use their career talents in service of Christ and for the purpose of furthering the gospel. Marketplace ministry often includes doctors, nurses, teachers and business men and women who have decided to bring their gifts to a foreign land to minister to the people there.
In addition to market place ministry we are church planters, Bible study leaders and evangelists. In 2021 we founded Life Fellowship Church. Life Fellowship is focused on bringing the full gospel message to Bulgaria through corporate worship and teaching as well as ministry to men, women and children.
What are we doing specifically?
Men’s Bible studies
In 2019 we launched the only Bible study in Sofia specifically geared towards reaching men in the workplace. This study meets weekly and currently is composed of both believers and non-believers. We have been blessed to see this study grow over the past year and have a goal of beginning several of these studies that meet in various locations throughout the city.
Church Planting
In 2021 we launched Life Fellowship International Church. Since then we have been able to grow our Sunday service to now include men's, women's and children's ministry. We hope that the Lord will continue to bless this endeavor and that Life Fellowship will continue to grow, as it is perhaps one of the only churches in the city of Sofia dedicated to expository teaching. Bulgaria is comprised of less than 2% evangelical christians. In a city of 1.5 million people, there are only a handful Evangelical churches.. This means that the need for the gospel here is great!
Women's and Children's Ministry
In 2022 we were able to expand Life Fellowship to include ministry to both women and children. Stacey is currently leading several women through weekly women's Bible study. We are excited to continue and grow this ministry. With God's grace we have also been able to grow our children's ministry. We now have regular Sunday school, children's ministry events, youth group for middle school and high schoolers, and community outreach events.
The Community Corner Library
The Community Corner Library is a Bulgarian registered non-profit association that serves as an outreach to the community by providing access to both children's and adult's English books. English books are very difficult to find in Bulgaria. As more and more Bulgarian's have begun to learn and speak English, these books are something that have become greatly desired by them. Our library ministry allows us to provide an excellent resource to the community. It is the birth place of many gospel conversations and strives to be the hands and feet of Christ in Sofia.
American U-Prep
American U-Prep is our Bulgarian registered company that offers educational consulting and aims to help young entrepreneurs. It has allowed us to use our talents for the glory of the Lord. With 13+ years of corporate banking experience and business consulting, and as a previous VP at Bank of America Merchant Services, Ryan has been able to use this background to integrate into the business community of Bulgaria. This has led to countless evangelistic and ministry opportunities throughout the business community. It is through these relationships that the first and only men's Bible study for working professionals was formed. Being business owners gives us credibility, opens doors for relationships, provides evangelistic opportunity and allows us to use our talents in a way that contributes to the people and community of Bulgaria.
More American U-Prep:
- American U-Prep is an educational consulting company. We help Bulgarian students who desire to attend university in the United States. We walk along side them throughout their high school journey mentoring them, training them and advising them so that they can achieve their future goals. We also work with our students as emerging entrepreneurs, helping several of them start their own non-profit organizations in Sofia. While most of our work has been done pro bono so far, we have hopes that AUP will experience future growth and will become self sustaining. As of 2023 we are working with 11 students. This includes several Bulgarian students as well as ones from Turkey, Albania and Macedonia. We are thankful for how this business endeavor has led to our ability to minister to both fellow business owners and the student population.
